Logging in using a two-factor authentication app

This article explains logging into Graphus when a two-factor authentication app is required by your organization.

Setup process

You will need to download and install a two-factor authentication application, like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, to your mobile device.

Setup the two-factor authentication application per the steps below.

Then, every time you attempt to log into Graphus, you will be required to enter the authentication code that is generated by your authenticator app.

How to...

  1. Access Graphus.
  2. In the Graphus login modal, enter your username and password, then click Log In.
  3. In the Your Security Matters modal, click Get Started.
  4. If you have not already done so, download and install any two-factor authentication application, like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. Follow the app's instructions to create an account.
  5. In the Set Up 2FA modal, scan the QR code using the authenticator app on your mobile device.

    Note: If you are not able to scan the QR code, follow the steps in the section Generate a code if you are unable to scan the QR code.
  6. Your 2FA app will generate an authentication code. In the Set Up 2FA modal, enter the code.
  7. Click Next.
  8. In the Success modal, click Done.
  9. With 2FA successfully setup, you are required to enter a new authentication code. In the Verification modal, enter the authentication code generated by your 2FA app.
  10. Click Verify.

Generate a code if you are unable to scan the QR code

  1. In the Set Up 2FA modal, click Show Setup Key.
  2. In the 2FA app on your mobile device, enter the code displayed in the Set Up 2FA modal.
  3. Your 2FA app will generate an authentication code. In the Set Up 2FA modal, enter the code.
  4. Click Next.
  5. In the Success modal, click Done.
  6. With 2FA successfully setup, you are required to enter a new authentication code. In the Verification modal, enter the authentication code generated by your 2FA app.
  7. Click Verify.

Subsequent logins

For all future logins, after providing your Graphus login credentials, you will be required to enter an authentication code generated by your 2FA app.
